The Incredible Edible Egg

Got about 900 words written yesterday. I'm shooting for about 50,000. I think that's how many you're supposed to do with NaNoWriMo. I forget.

I'm kinda bored.

Josh was texting me when he went to see Sherlock Holmes today. It was awesome. Of course it was just before he went. And then he helped me with some grammar and spelling issues I was having while writing. Turns out he got the card today. That makes me very happy. I thought it was taking an awful long time to get there. I thought maybe it wasn't going to before 2009 ended. Lol. Sheesh!

I had a weird sex dream that had me questioning things.  But enough about that because nobody really cares. Besides, Tiana basically banned me from exploring the option or bringing it up any further. Yeah. That isn't going to make sense, but this is for me. It'll remind me to just say no.  Shut-up.

I decided Sunday to spend the cards for the girls and then wrap the gifts and write who they were from on them. So, I got Camy a replica of Sam's remote from iCarly and some Hello Kitty dolls and I got Jayde a 24" girraffe and a coffee maker playset. Then they each got a recyclable tote bag.  Anyway, I wrapped all that yesterday.  It was interesting. I'm very badly out of practice when it comes to wrapping.

What else? Blogging everyday is hard and leaves me with nothing to say. Har.

I didn't bring up the NYE thing to Josh. I don't know how. I also don't know how to tell him I miss his voice, so any help would be awesome.

I think I'm done for today.

Sadness And Confusion And Weirdness. Oh My!

So, ok. I've been kinda feeling off. Josh's brother died on the 16th, and since then we've both been a little off. He was coming out of it a little, but then the funeral was the 23rd. So, we're both back to feeling off. I'm so glad Christmas is over, though. Maybe we can both come out of by New Year's Eve.

I really wish I could have spent today with him. And I really wish I could spend next weekend wih him. -sigh-  This relationship keeps getting more and more complicated.  Maybe he will call me around midnight on NYE and we can "spend" midnight together. Of course, that's assuming he's off of work. I hate his schedule. The end.

I'm going to pick up my second to last check tomorrow. Hopefully, I won't have to give the whole thing to my mom. She paid for the last of santa's gifts. I still have to get hair dye, an lbd, and my gifts to the girls. I'm going to get them each a stuffed toy, panda for Cam and giraffe for Jayde. Or maybe Camy would like an elephant instead. Idunno. I think I'll ask. Lol.

The girls each got $30 Toys 'R' Us cards from the Eskews. That was extremely nice of them, since they aren't doing all that much better than we are. I haven't decided if I'm just gonna pick up their gifts or let them. Either way, it's gonna take forever. Har. I also have like $13 from last christmas for Camy. I'm thinking I'll do that and get something for the dollhouse. Yep. Yep.

I've decided that I'm gonna write a script and send it to Kevin Smith.  Yep.  Lol. He hasn't written his new movie, yet. I know shit about hockey, but I can research.  Haha. Someone should probably let Mr. Smith know that a crazy girl from Lousiana will be penning HIT SOMEBODY for him.

Yes, I am in a weird ass mood. So, there.

Just Dance

So, both the kids are sick. The only thing Camy can hold down is Sprite. Can't even hold down the anti-nausea medication. How fun! So Jayde is sleeping with me tonight, Camy with the gma. Jayde was able to hold down half a cracker and the medication and I'm very bad at handling puke, so it made sense to do it that way.

I'm broke out pretty bad. Ugh! I went through this in high school. Why am I going through it again? I think I asked that in yday's entry too, but it's seriously irritating me.

Didn't make it to the park, obviously. Kids started with the puking as soon as Camy got home from school. Well, Camy did. Jayde started a little later.

Made meatball soup tonight. Can't wait to eat it! I saved it for tomorrow night. I'm really excited because I came up with it on my own and people actually seemed to like it. I sent some across the street I was so proud. Beginning to think I got into the wrong field. Lol. Although I burn myself on an almost constant basis. I have two burn scars on my right hand alone. Both were received making cheese pizza. Two different stoves though. I'm freaking talented like that. If I suck too bad at sewing, then I'll look into it again. Haha. I'm really beginning to get into it though. I used to never make anything without a recipe. Now I'm starting to free style it a lot more. So impressed with myselfroght now. So impressed. I love me. -pats self on back and then toots own horn- i wonder if anybody needs a chef's assistant or something. Hrmmmmmm...

Computer is supposed to be here tomorrow. We'll see. When all is said and done we will have two working computers here. Woot!

Well, that's all from me.

Desirae: She'll Kick You Into Shape Too.

Alright, Ms. Desi. You win. To school I go. You may be 4'11'', but to be honest, your bark is farking scary. And guess what? School is considered a job. I win! But I still need to find a house and a paying job. Even if it's p/t. I think I'll add that to my applications and change it on my resume.

Actually, I take that back. Maybe I'll take that non-pharmaceutical job I was offered. I didn't tell anybody, but an insurance company offered me a job. I was thinking of taking it. But then again, I don't know jack about insurance or the selling thereof. We'll see. I really need to check my email more often. Har.

Oh and I just figured out why Prince barks. Haha. It's not to go pee-pee or poo-poo. It's to sleep. If you turn on the light when he's trying to sleep, you get barked out. I just turned off the light and he stopped. And when I went back in, he was curled up trying to sleep. He's so human. Can't sleep with the lights on. So cute! Now, if I could just figure out his signal for potty time, we'd be in business.

Speaking of sleeping, I think Jayde just passed out on the couch. Or at least she is trying to. It's hard to sleep when you're wearing wings. LMAO. She's dressed as a ladybug right now. She's ladybug crazy! Which is a good thing, since she collects them. She tells me she is a Ladybug Princess all the time.

I just want to squish her cheeks. Although, she really doesn't have that baby fat on her cheeks any more. Camy does, but Jayde is so thin. Then again, Camy used to be that thin too. My kids go through stages. Jayde used to be pudgy. Camy used to be thin. Now, they have switched. Although, I don't expect Jayde to get pudgy again any time soon. She doesn't eat enough. She just likes to drink.

I wish I had her appetite. I could lose so much weight using her to model my eating after. Right now she is enjoying popsicles for lunch. She's pretty much just drinking them. Pops and Diego. What a winning combo!

Ok, so the sleepy time feeling passed her. She's bouncing around now. What'd that last? Five minutes? Blah. I wish I had her energy. I'd so work-out all the time. Ah. To be 3 again...

Speaking of 3, I don't know what I'm going to do for her birthday. She actually doesn't turn three until the 28th, but I hasn't the foggiest idea what I am doing for it or if I'm even going to do anything. It slipped by on me last year, and it may squeak by unnoticed again. I just don't have the funds right now. Funny. I didn't have the funds last year either. I sense a pattern here. Work/school for 7-8 months, look for a job for 5 months. Ew. That's going to suck. I don't have 5 months to be outta work. Just pray my next job lasts longer. Like two years at least. I NEED STABILITY! The kids NEED stability!

I'll just keep chanting "Go to school!" to myself. Pump myself up. Keep those bad thoughts out and not psych myself out. Just say no to self-sabotage!

I Am a Grown-Up Sponge

I can hear the episode of SpongeBob where he tells his grandma that he is all grown-up. And so she treats him like a grown-up and then he totally breaks down because he doesn't get any attention any more. I would so do that if I thought it would work. "I da baby!"

I don't even know why I am writing right now. I didn't do shit today.

Although, I did decide that in about five and a half years, for Camy's 11th birthday, we would go on a road trip. We being Camy, Jayde and I and whoever else wants to go. We'll be basically circling the US and going a little into Canada. Speaking of which, do you need a passport to go into Canada? We might even peep into Mexico. And we'll have an awesome tent and we'll camp out as much as we can. It'll be great. And it'll probably take us all of summer vacation that year, but it will totally be worth it. I haven't hammered out all the details, obviously, but it doesn't sound too far-fetched. My step-dad is loaning me a map to look at, so I should have some more details later on tonight or tomorrow.

I am so anxious/nervous for the 6th, I wish it had already happened. I will sleep so much better with all of that figured out/ handled. I will lose so much stress once I know my girls are taken care of. I seriously would not be able to live with myself if I had just rolled over though. I am not a dog. I do not take orders so easily. I do not roll over on command. And really that's all I was trying to show him. That and that his idea of shared is NOT reasonable nor responsible. Seriously, half a week here, half a week there. Not really going to work. It's confusing to me. What the hell does he think it would do to them? We're already going to screw them up, why add to it? And yes, I know I am a good mother, but I am only saying that no matter what you do, kids will inevidently end up thinking their parents suck and having issues. You can't count on not having issues. You just can't. And now I shut up about that.

Camy and my mother decided the other day that Camy would like to take either Kung-Fu or TaeKwonDo lessons and that my mom would pay for them. Ok then. As long as she pays for everything. Equipment, uniform, transportation, lessons. I don't want to have to pay for any of it. It's the same deal I made with Kyle. I am NOT bending on it. I think she needs the discipline right now. And being in a martial art works, I just can't swing it financially since she is staying in dancing. Besides, Jayde is going to start taking in February. Or she was when I still had a job. Just hope I get the job I interviewed for. My bank account is seriously looking shabby.

I don't even know if anybody even offers Kung-Fu. Should probably look that up. Har. The only reason I say Kung-Fu is because Jayde and she have been on a Kung-Fu Panda kick ever since the movie came out. They have probably seen it like three times with daddy and like three times with me. I have seen it twice, at least. They are in love with Po. Don't blame them, though. Pandas are fucking hot. Well, Po is hot. Real pandas are just adorable. Don't think I'm into beastiality or anything. No. I wouldn't do that. EW! NASTY! Perish the thought. You nasty!

Oh, just let me say that irony rocks.

So, uh, snip snap snout, this blogs told out.

I Have To Pee

Interesting tittle, no?

I really do have to pee, though. Har.

Today was pretty good. Went to Tanger Oulet Center in Gonzales. Did a little shopping. Well, my mom and grandma did a little shopping while I stood there and watched. Haha. Had no monies.

Then we went to Cabela's, which is a huge hunting, fishing, outdoorsy store. The kids had a blast there. It's almost like DisneyWorld. They have a huge display with taxadermied animals. They even have a POLAR BEAR! It was caught in Alaska in 1970. That was my favorite.

They also had tents set up that my kids explored and I found a tent with CUPHOLDERS! My mom found a camping chair that was a rocker. And she loves rockers. She said that she would definitely go camping if she had one of those. My mom loves rockers, though. And I found a lounging chair that rocks your socks off. No, it rocks your face off. Even came with an attached pillow.
Each of my girsl got a bird with realistic bird calls. Jayde got a Blue Jay and Camy got some kind of Warbler.

They even have a snack bar inside!

It's two stories. They have a duck pond out front with fake ducks. LMAO. The kind of ducks you use as decoys when duck hunting. They sold them inside.

AND they have a firearm check in, right inside the door. HARDCORE!

They also have all kinds of hunting games set up in various spot around the store. I think you had to pay to play, though. Camy wanted me to try one. I couldn't. I've never hunted, game wise or in real life. I could never shoot a deer or anything really. I'm too chicken. And my aim is horrid.

After that we took my dad to work.

Then we came back here and chilled for a bit. I figured out that I can French braid. And I came up with an interesting sideways version too. Camy was very patient while I braided her hair...twice. Jayde hollered the whole time. And I was only trying to do a normal braid on her! Whiney butt!

At about 5:30 we went to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. Awesome experience! I have NEVER been seated that quickly. I walk in ask the host how long. Tell him we have six. He asks if inside or out. I say inside. He says he can put two together but then he looks over his shoulder and says that he can have one as soon as we all get in. I get everybody in, he wipes down the table and boom. I like going before the rush. We finished right as the rush was about to begin. And we got entertained while we dined. They danced to two different songs. The kids liked that. Jayd was bopping in her seat to the music almost the whole time. Even when she was eating. I have NEVER seen her enjoy mac 'n' cheese THAT much.

After dinner we went shopping at Wal-Mart. Got some basic items. And were home by 9.

Jayde helped me push an empty cart around Wal-Mart. We had a system, and I only ran into a pole once due to looking at her. We were chanting. "Big step, big step, big step. Turn, turn, turn turn turn. Big step, big step, big step. Stop." I had her taking as big a step as she could. Then when my back starting to hurt, I told her I couldn't make it. And she goes, "Whew, I tired." So we collapsed on the floor. Yeah, we got some stares, but I didn't really mind. Nobody in our party minded.

Camy was walking by my mom who had a scooter. She loves helping her gran. She felt like such a big girl. Just about the only thing she didn't grab for my mom were the cokes. I got those. She didn't want them to land on her face. She ran off when I reached for it and goes, "Not my face, not my face!" What a card!

I JUST got her settled into bed at 12:15. I threatened to make her get up at 6 and go with Mamaw all day. Didn't REALLY think it would happen, but she didn't have to know that. The threat worked. She'll probably wet the bed, but at least she's asleep.

And that's it. Second day of the year, complete!

It's the Last Blog of the Year

So, I got Kyle's desk mess pretty much cleaned. You wouldn't believe the bag of garbage I'm tossing out. And it's about halfway finished. I've got a few hours to get it finished. Midnight is the deadline.

We're having chilli for dinner tonight. Chilli is love. We've got cheese and corn chips and oyster crackers to go with it. YAY!

My mom came over and is in charge of the black-eyed peas and cabbage so that we can eat it at midnight tonight. Don't ask me. Is a family tradition. Not sure where it came from. Not sure I want to know.

Our neighbors invited us to do fireworks with them tonight. They promised non-loud ones. So happy. Camy and Jayde HATE loud fireworks or really loud things in general. But they won't be here until about 8. Hope Kyle isn't counting on putting them to bed. I am letting them stay up until they pass out. It's freaking New Years!

He's picking them up in Hammond at about 5 and then they are going to dinner with his mom or whatever. I just hope they don't come in with like a million things. They did "Christmas" this week, I'm sure. They went to Chuck E. Cheese's and to see The Tale of Despereaux yesterday. And yes, they had already seen the movie. Oh well! Jayde didn't talk throughout the entire movie this time.

I really hope she didn't pee in her pants. She was doing so well. She just needs encouragement to keep it up. She's funny that way.

Amongst the clothes we found for her, we found a winter hat. Just hope it fits. It's cute as hell. She'll get a kick out of it. Of this I am sure.

Anyway, my New Year's resolution is to do more community work and to "give back" more. Should be easy. I'll be trying to collect hats for St. Jude, coats for Coats for Kids, and fans for the elderly. I'll be doing a virtual lemonade stand with Alex's Lemonade Stand, and some other stuff. 2009 is a building year. I also vow to keep my job longer than seven months. And I also promise a list a week. I've already got my first one in the works. And that's it from me.

It Was the Year That Would Not End

How much longer do we have with 2008? It's taking forever.

I need to attack the mess on Kyle's desk. I feel like just clearing the whole thing off and then just going through it bit by bit. Actually, to be honest, I feel like throwing it ALL in the garbage. But I can't do that. We have house papers in the mess. Blah. I'mma do that tomorrow.

Went through like a bajillion boxes of clothes today. Found an entire winter wardrobe for Jayde. SCORE! Don't have to go shopping for her now. Any way I can save money is a plus. Also, my grandma found my AT&T rebate card. I have $33 left on it. SCORE AGAIN! Now, I just have to get up off of my butt and mail Christmas cards. Haha. And a box for Jess. And some clothes to Brandie. And some clothes to Meagan. And. And. There goes my whole $33. Which reminds me, I need to finish and send off CK's notebook. FUCK! I need more time in a day! Or I just need to not procrastinate as much. Yes. That sounds right.

I need to go on a myspace purge. Yeah. A 35-day myspace purge. So. Starting on Jan 1 and ending on Feb. 4 I will have a myspace purge. Shall be fun. That's possibly where I spend most of my time procrastinating. There. More time.

And now I have to pee.

What's That Smell?

It's me. I smell like shrimp. I just peeled and de-veined an entire pound and now I smell like shrimp. My grandma's making shrimp gumbo. A small price to pay for Gumboy goodness. Our neighbor caught the shrimp in June. Six months is still fresh, right?

I am so ready for Thursday. I don't think I can contain my excitement over Camy's dollhouse or Jayde's kitchen much longer. I'm going to have a blast putting them together. The magic and wonder of Santa shall grow, even though I am not a fan of telling them it was Santa. I had started the tradition of waiting until Twelfth night and saying it was the Three Wisemen, but because I don't homeschool, I really can't expect them to not know about Santa. So, I was defeated by the power of conforming. But I still didn't get Santa pictures done. Karen did with Camy even though I have told her that we don't want to enforce the Santa thing any more than we have to. At least she didn't make Jayde do pictures. And it's not like I am the only one who doesn't agree with the Santification of Christmas, Kyle agreed with me. So, she isn't just going against my wishes, she's going against his wishes too! BITCH! And people wonder why I don't like her. Yeah, it's a small thing, but seriously, it's one of the only things I've asked of her. Dhe could have at least done it. Although, it's pretty much not surprising. I also said no Webkinz and now we have 25. She started them. Of course, I continued them. I didn't HAVE to continue them. Oh well.

Anyway, the kids had a mish mash inside picnic for lunch. I gave them Velveeta chunks, raisins, chicken nuggets, french fries, cheese taquitos, Capri Sun, RitzBits peanut butter sandwiches, apple dippers, caramel sauce, and graham crackers. I think that was it. We had a small amount of everything so it isn't like they got a whole lot. Like the french fries, for instance. They had like 20 between the three of them. They each had one taquito. Small portions, so it sounds like a lot.

I bet you're wondering about my dreams, yes? I know you are. Well...NO P! But they did include a certain of age Jonas Brother....Shut-up, he's adorable!

Anything else? I don't think. Oh. We're going to make handprint cookies tonight. I'll tell you how that goes. I've never done it before, but I thought of it the last time we made cookies.

NAP!

Just finished eating Chinese food. So good. Not as good as Ho and Linda's but whatever. Ho doesn't make mai fun. Mai fun is my new fave. I really prefer the Singapore, but I don't eat meat any more so I got the veggie kind. It was kinda lacking in veggies though. And the steamed veggies came with tofu. WTF, dude? I did NOT order tofu!

Now, normally I don't mind tofu. But this tofu was rubbery and didn't have a good flavor. Not even soy sauce could save this tofu. I am not even exaggerating. GROSS!

Camy, Jayde and I finally decorated the tree today. I'm going to have to rearrange some though. Jayde put all of hers in a cluster along the bottom row of branches. God bless her.

I got some clothes in the mail today. They all fit, except for a vest. It wouldn't go over my boobs. Nice, eh? And actually they wouldn't even go over my g-ma's boobs. And she's got baby boobs. I think they were sized wrong. Is why I kinda hate Venezia brand. But I was able to go to the store and exchange it for a bigger size. The new one was three sizes bigger and it barely fit! That is why I say they were sized wrong. Have NEVER had that problem. That's a new one, even for Venezia.

I ate so much, I can't even think right now. I just want to take a nap!

So, I Lied...

I missed yesterday. Oops. I didn't even attempt it. Oh well.

My whole existence here depends on that guy and it's freaking annoying. And that's pretty much why I didn't do any blogging.

I can't do Christmas shopping (which I did yesterday) unless somebody is here to watch the children. And I still don't know this town that well so I need somebody to help me find my way around. Although, I must say, I am getting better at it. Driving to and from work helped a little. I know all of Jefferson Hwy and all of BlueBonnet, now. Har.

And of course Tiger Bend, Antioch, Jones Creek, O'Neal Lane, S. Harrell's Ferry, Old Jefferson and Highland. Then, everybody knows Airline Hwy. Airline is like the most important road in South LA. And why am I talking about roads? I don't know.

So, anyway, my life revolves around when HE is here or not. Pathetic? I think so too! So, he is with the kids now and I am blogging because yesterday when he was here I was Christmas shopping with the mother. We spent way too much money and way too much time doing it, but it was fun. It was almost like old times only she can't walk that much and I am spending my own monies.

I really wish he would just magically disappear. Honestly. Or at least be freaking consistant or just fucking get an apartment so that you can take them to your place. BLAH! I need to shut up now. This isn't the place for this!

So, let me see, what did I do today? I wanted to decorate the tree, but I couldn't. BOO! But Camy gets out of school at 12:30 tomorrow, so we will do it then. And I didn't finish decorating outside AGAIN. Because I am teh fail.

Oh and I got some deliveries today! But I can't has them until Christmas. But they are beautiful! My mom got me an outfit for interviews and a purse. But the jacket did not come because they suck. I love the jacket, it is grommet trimmed. Grommets rock your face off!

Let me see...I found out the name of the hottie across the street. Philip. He's a freaking engineer! I loves me some engineers! I just like saying "engineer". Say it. It's fun!

Um...Mrs. Jean from across the street invited us to the Christmas service at Healing Place Church. They are non-denominational so I kinda want to go. I hear the church is huge, though. Of course, that might mean there might actually be a place to sit for the service. You know how packed Catholic churches get, especially for Midnight mass. Although, Midnight mass is pretty cool. I used to love the one at St. George. I think we'll be going to an afternoon service or something. I don't know. I have to look at the holiday mass schedule. Man, I have a lot to do. I need to make a list.

So, uh, the next blog I make shall have a to-do list. You can pretty much ignore that one. And that's it. Yeah. That's it.
